About the Artist
I live, where the hills dive into the sea and the weather can’t make up its mind. It’s a place of shifting skies, wild winds, and constant change—and somehow, that energy sneaks into my work.
I paint intuitively, building up layers and scraping them back, following instinct more than plan. Some paintings start as landscapes, others as figures, and a few sit in that strange in-between space. I’m especially drawn to slightly abstract figures—familiar but not quite fully seen, like memories just out of reach.
I love ambiguity, mood, and the quiet drama that draws the viewer into a painting. However, my paintings aren’t about giving answers—they’re about holding space for your own interpretation, your own story.
If a painting here feels like it means something to you—even if you’re not sure why—then it’s done its job.
A favourite quote from J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851)
“My business is to paint what I see,
not what I know is there.”
